You select a heritage at 1st level to reflect abilities passed down to you from your ancestors or common among those of your ancestry in the environment where you were born or grew up. You have only one heritage and can’t change it later. All kitsune have a fox form, with distinctive coloration depending upon their heritage, and an alternate form, either hybrid or tailless. A hybrid form is that of an anthropomorphic fox, with coloration matching that of the fox form. A tailless form is that of any humanoid ancestry common near where kitsune was raised (typically elf or human), with hair color matching the primary fur color of the kitsune’s fox form. While in fox form, you gain the statistics of a 1st-level pest form, except you may make Strikes in this form and gain a jaws unarmed attack that deals 1d4 piercing damage. Your fox form jaws are in the brawling group and have the agile, finesse and unarmed traits. If you gain other unarmed attacks from your heritage or kitsune feats, you may use them in fox form.
