Riadus Ancestry Random Starting Ages

Roll and total the indicated dice in the Age Modifier column and add to the Base Age to randomly determine your character's age. These ages assume a 1st level character. Your character's age may be further modified by the length of training received to master their abilities by 1st level (see Training Modifiers Below).

Training Modifiers

A character's age may be modified by the level training necessary to master their skills and abilities at 1st level. Below is an explanation of each level of training and how much it increases a character's starting age.

Intuitive: Your skills and abilities are completely natural to you, or otherwise required no true effort on your part to master. This category typically includes barbarians, kineticists, oracles, psychics, sorcerers, summoners and witches, and does not modify a character's age.

Self Taught: Receiving little, if any, instruction, you mastered your skills and abilities through practice, dedication and a little trial and error. This category typically includes bards, rangers, rogues and summoners, and adds 3 years to your base age.

Apprenticed: Though you received no formal education, an instructor provided all that you needed to eventually master your abilities. This category typically includes alchemists, champions, druids, fighters, gunslingers, investigators, and swashbucklers, and adds 5 years to your base age.

Formal Education: You received extensive instruction at an academy which gave you the skills to master your abilities and continue learning. This category typically includes clerics, inventors, magi, monks, thaumaturges and wizards, and adds 8 years to your base age.

A character's Background may reasonably adjust their age. A character who started learning the skills associated with their Class later in life would of course be much older, while a child prodigy may be much younger. This generator is intended as a starting point during character creation, or to quickly fill in details for NPCs.

Height & Weight

To determine a character's height, roll the modifier dice indicated on the table and add the result, in inches, to the base height for your character's ancestry. To determine a character's weight, multiply the result of the modifier dice by the weight multiplier and add the result to the base weight for your character's ancestry.

*A kitsune's height and weight are determined by the ancestry of the humanoid form (typically human). The random generator assumed a human ancestry for the kitsune's humanoid form.
